Adventure ‘Camping in Africa’: BüllsPort campsites in the Naukluft Mountains in the southern centre of Namibia
During the day, klipspringers peer down curiously from rocky outcrops, while at night the clattering hooves of mountain zebra or kudu echo through the valley. A true ‘camping in Africa’ adventure… The campsites are also ideal starting points for circular walks on the hiking trails in the nature reserve and a day trip to Sossusvlei.
Pitch in the wilderness – with your own shower and toilet
Each of the four pitches has its own bathroom with hot shower and separate flush toilet in the shared sanitary building. There is also a fire pit for barbecues.
- Hot water via ‘donkey’ (boiler), which is heated with wood; on arrival, a member of staff will show you how to light the fire
- Additional wood for barbecues available in the farm shop (3 km)
- Please note: no electricity; electronic devices can be charged at the lodge (3 km)
- No mobile phone reception, WiFi in the lodge lounge (in consideration of our lodge guests, please only from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm)
- Breakfast, brunch (10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon) and dinner possible at the lodge, subject to availability; advance booking required
Book a campsite exclusively: Alone with yourself and nature
Guests can book a normal pitch (max. 4 people including children), which shares the communal area (sanitary building, sink, large shady roof) on one of the two campsites with another pitch.
If you want to be completely on your own, you can book a campsite with a communal area and two pitches exclusively. This is also an ideal option for groups (max. 16 people including children). The two campsites are about 3 kilometres apart. The ultimate ‘Camping in Africa’ adventure…
Camping in the wilderness – with respect for nature
Like the lodge, the campsite is run as environmentally friendly as possible. Camping guests can actively help. By leaving nothing behind but their footprints. BüllsPort provides rubbish bags for their waste. Fruit and other food scraps, which would otherwise attract the wildlife that lives there, also belong in the bag.
Responsible and nature-conscious guests also know that wild animals must not be fed under any circumstances. The best example is baboons, which quickly lose respect for humans, then become a danger and have to be killed.

BüllsPort Campsites
The campsite is located about 3 km from the lodge in our nature reserve and has 2 pitches only. Each pitch has its own flush toilet and shower with hot water (boiler), no electricity, no mobile phone reception.
Rates include wood for boiler and all self-guided activities (hiking trails, 4 x 4 trail) in our nature reserve.
Children up to 5 years are free of charge. Camping guests are welcome to have meals at the lodge and take part in guided activities. Please book in advance, latest upon arrival at the reception. Subject to availability.
Cancellation fees: 30 - 15 days before arrival: 30 % | 14 - 8 days before arrival: 50 % | 7 - 0 days before arrival: 100 %
