Guests of B\u00fcllsPort can now share their photos or video clips of their experiences at NAUkLuFT even better with their loved ones at home. Why? Because B\u00fcllsPort has invested in its WiFi network. The new technology would even make it possible to watch movies via live stream…<\/p>\n

Free WiFi has been a standard feature at B\u00fcllsPort for a long time (see under accommodation<\/a>). Guests are always surprised by the good internet access – in the middle of nature, far from the nearest town. Websites open in no time, emails are quickly downloaded and sent. Photos and video clips are also easy to share via WhatsApp, Facebook & Co.<\/p>\n

Faster WiFi at 5 gigahertz<\/strong><\/p>\n

WiFi reception was previously limited to the lounge, restaurant and some rooms. Four new amplifiers now ensure that WiFi can be accessed from all twelve rooms.<\/p>\n

The additional network uses the relatively new 5-gigahertz band. Not at all to be confused with 5G (“5th generation”) mobile phone. It allows higher bandwidths than the otherwise usual frequency of 2.4 gigahertz. This makes data transfer much faster.<\/p>\n

Formula 1 in the NAUkLuFT<\/strong><\/p>\n

The speed would even be sufficient to follow Formula 1 races or other live events via streaming. However, the bandwidth of Telecom Namibia’s internet connection sets certain limits. Quite apart from the fact that you don’t travel to the NAUkLuFT<\/a> to sit in front of the TV. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

The prerequisite is, of course, that the SmartPhone\/iPhone, Tablet\/iPad and Laptop\/MacBook used is also designed for the 5 gigahertz frequency. Those who cannot access the internet from their room are still welcome in the cosy lounge where 2.4 gigahertz WiFi is still available. And by the way, there is also a fully automatic coffee machine and a self-service bar…<\/p>\n
